2018's Top Natural Hair Trends Will Work On Every Length & Type

If 2017 taught us something about pure hair, it is that you just’re not restricted to only a twist-out. Over the final 12 months we have seen a few of our favourite celeb stylists and stalk-worthy social media faves push the envelope with their cuts, colours, and protecting kinds. And fortunately, they’re simply getting began.

Celebrity stylist Takisha Sturdivant-Drew, who works with Kerry Washington, agrees. “Natural hair will be a part of all aspects of life,” she says. “And I especially want to see it in the corporate industry, which used to close the door to natural hair. Today’s modern woman is fashion-forward — and her hair should reflect that.”

Ready for a serious dose of pure hair inspiration? We tapped high execs for the cuts and appears that shall be big subsequent 12 months, forward.

Angled Afros

Fringe is easy to style and versatile to wear,” he says. “You can wear them on the side or separate them in the two sections in the middle, like curtains.”

Curly bangs needn’t be wispy. Model Khadijha Red Thunder reveals us thick, curly set will be simply as straightforward to put on as curtain fringe.

Amiel notes that lots of his purchasers, like mannequin Amanda Harvey, are requesting heavier bangs. He considers it an influence transfer. “In the past, curly girls would straighten their fringe because they were told it doesn’t look good curly,” he says. “I’m happy to see girls trying new looks and getting fabulous results that look current and edgy.”
